Introducing the C-All-Scope!

c-all scope

This is my latest find from the antique store next to Strawn’s Pie Shoppe. I’ve been planning a steampunk outfit (I have the material and the pattern, I just haven’t got to it yet!) and this seemed like the perfect accessory! And I got it cheap! Dirt Cheap!

I couldn’t get a good picture of it, but on the inside bridge it reads in white etching, “C-ALL-SCOPE” and underneath, “PAT.-PEND.” I have been able to find out absolutely zero about it on the internet. The owner of the particular booth they were in was away, but he had lots of military memorabilia. The ladies manning his booth for him, knew nothing about it. When I first saw it, it reminded me of the bit in the National Treasure movie that goes like this:

Riley Poole: They’re like Early American x-ray specs.
Abigail Chase: Benjamin Franklin invented something like these.
Ben Gates: Uh, Ben Franklin invented *these*.

Anyhoo, I couldn’t resist picking them up! If anyone knows anything about them, please say something in the comments!
